大宮北高校を会場に、日進職業センターに通われている方が制作したアート作品の展示会を実施します。２０２５年９月末までを展示期間としていますので、文化祭や土曜授業などで本校へお越しの際は２Ｆ事務室前の展示をぜひ御覧ください。

日進職業センターは、障害者向けの就労支援施設であり、障害者が将来的に就職するために職業訓練を行っている施設です。

昨年度、障害者福祉や障害者の社会進出をテーマとして何かできることはないか考える会を本校教頭と日進職業センター職員とで実施しました。その中で出されたアイデアの一つとして、周辺施設と連携した展示会をやってみようということになり、今回の展示会へとつながりました。

この施設に通われている方には、自閉スペクトラム症（ASD）で「恐竜の絵に強いこだわり」を持った方がいらっしゃいます。マーカーでダンボールに恐竜のイラストを描いた作品になるのですが、このイラストが障害者理解を深めるための取組に活用できるのではないかという試験的・挑戦的な意味もあります。

今回の実施にあたり、平面作品だけでなく立体作品も持ってきていただきました。文化祭の時期に合わせて実施し、「小さな小さな恐竜展」と題して１ヶ月ほど展示をする予定です。感想を送れるQRコードも掲示してもらいましたので、ぜひ近くで見て感想を送ってみてください。線の細かさにも注目して見てもらえればと思います。

We will be co-hosting “Tiny Little Dinosaurs” with Nisshin Work Center for the vocational disabled at Omiya Kita High School until the end of September 2025.

Nisshin Work Center is an employment support facility for people with disabilities and provides job training for them to find employment in the future.

Last year, the vice principal of Omiya Kita High School and the staff of Nisshin Work Center held a meeting to think about what we can do for the welfare of the handicapped and their advancement in society. One of the ideas that came out of the meeting was to hold an exhibition in cooperation with neighboring facilities, which led to the current exhibition.

One of the participants at this facility has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and has a “strong obsession with dinosaur drawings”. This arts will be an illustration of a dinosaur drawn on cardboard with markers, and it is also meant to be a test and challenge to see if this illustration can be used in efforts to deepen understanding of people with disabilities.

For this implementation, they brought not only two-dimensional arts but also three-dimensional arts. The exhibition will be held in conjunction with the time of the Cultural Festival, and will be titled “Tiny Little Dinosaurs” and will be on display for about a month. We have also asked them to post a QR code where you can send him your impressions, so please take a closer look and send him your impressions. We hope you will pay attention to the fineness of the lines.
