さくらサイエンスプログラム訪問団を受け入れました！

We hosted the “Sakura Science Program Delegation”!

２０２５年６月１７日に「さくらサイエンスプログラム訪問団」の受け入れを行いました。インドや台湾、マレーシア、ウクライナから１００名を超える教師・生徒のみなさんに来校していただきました。国際デーとして、２月４日「国際友愛デー」が制定されています。海外交流が多い本校の特長やユネスコスクールとしての一面を活かし、学校レベルでできる活動として友愛をテーマとした「We are ONE」を実施しました。

このプログラムは、科学技術振興機構（JST：Japan Science and Technology Agency）からの依頼をもとに、科学的な交流をテーマに本校の生徒と訪問団の生徒とで共同研究を行うというものです。

午前のプログラムとしては、本校の１年生が参加し、新しい学校を科学的にデザインするプログラムを行いました。授業、教室、食堂、カリキュラム、登校手段など学校を構成する要素にそれぞれのグループが注目し、新たな学校について考えました。

午後のプログラムについては、本校の理数科生徒が参加し、「化学の授業」と「研究論文の発表会」を行いました。化学では、本校の教師と生徒が指導者となり、銀鏡反応を利用した鏡づくりを行いました。少しゆがんだりもしましたが、鏡の仕組みを理解しながら作成したオリジナルの鏡を大切そうにしていました。研究論文の発表会では、理数科３年生がそれぞれの研究を英語の論文にまとめたものを訪問団の生徒に発表しました。さまざまな質問を受けながら、研究について一緒に考えることができ、新たな課題を発見するなど内容を深めることができました。

今後も海外との交流を進めていきたいと思います。

On June 17, 2025, we hosted the Sakura Science Program Visiting Delegation. Over 100 teachers and students from India, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Ukraine visited our school. “International Day of Human Fraternity” is observed on February 4. Taking advantage of our school’s many international exchanges and our status as a UNESCO school, we implemented “We are ONE” under the theme of friendship as an activity that can be carried out at the school level.

In this program, based on a request from the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), students from our school and those from the visiting group conducted joint research on the theme of scientific exchange.

As a morning program, first-year students of our school participated in a program to scientifically design a new school. Each group focused on the elements that make up a school, such as classes, classrooms, cafeteria, curriculum, and means of getting to school, and thought about the new school.

For the afternoon program, our science and math students participated in a chemistry class and a presentation of their research papers. In chemistry, our teachers and students acted as instructors and made mirrors using the silver mirror reaction. Although the mirrors were a little warped, the students looked very proud of their original mirrors, which they made while understanding the mechanism of mirrors. At the presentation of their research papers, third-year students of the Science and Mathematics Department presented their research in English to the visiting students. While receiving various questions, the students were able to think about their research together and discover new issues and deepen the content of their research.

We would like to continue to promote exchanges with overseas countries in the future.
