おはようございます。校長の関田晃です。BTACS、Business and Technology Academy Charter Schoolの皆さま、本日はようこそ大宮北高等学校へお越しくださいました。あなたがたの来校を心より歓迎いたします。台風の影響で来日日程が変更になりましたが、こうして無事にお会いできて嬉しく思います。

We understand that your school’s policy is “Rooted in Culture, Ready for the World,” and that you promote initiatives such as Academic Excellence through Project-Based Learning, Career Pathways and Real-World Readiness, and Personal Growth and Professional Culture.

あなたがたの学校は、”Rooted in Culture, Ready for the World.”をポリシーに掲げて、Academic Excellence through Project-Based Learningや、Career Pathways and Real-World Readiness、Personal Growth and Professional Cultureといった取組を推進していると聞いています。

It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you, and this is a valuable opportunity to further deepen international exchange.

We hope that through this exchange, you will gain an understanding of each other’s cultures and acquire new perspectives and learning experiences.

Our students have also been eagerly awaiting your visit.

そんな皆さんをお迎えできたことは、私たちにとって大きな喜びであり、国際交流をさらに深める貴重な機会です。

今回の交流を通じて、互いの文化を理解し、新しい視点や学びを得られることを期待しています。本校の生徒たちも、皆さんとの交流を心待ちにしておりました。

Although your stay is only half a day, we are sure you will make many discoveries through your experiences in classes and school life. Even if you don’t speak the same language perfectly, I believe that your shared sensibilities as high school students will naturally connect you all.

I sincerely hope that your time at our school will be memorable and meaningful. And I sincerely hope that this encounter will become a bridge of friendship that will last into the future.

わずか半日という短い滞在ですが、授業や学校生活の体験の中で、多くの発見があることでしょう。言葉が完全に通じなくても、同じ高校生としての感性が皆さんを自然につないでくれるはずです。

This November, approximately 320 second-year students from our school will be going to Guam and will also be visiting your school. We look forward to seeing you then.
